Exhibition LYREALISM in "Galerie Pštrossova 23", Prague 1

Marie Blabolilová, Tereza Kabůrková, Antonín Střížek / Vernissage on Thursday, March 1, 2018, from 18.00 / "Galerie Pštrossova 23" / Pavel Vančát / curator of the exhibition

Three authors of different generations, despite technical and personal differences, deal with traditional genres, ie, still-life and landscape, each of them looking at the question
realism and subjectivity of memory.

The paintings and graphics of Marie Blabolil (* 1948) work with the blending of a realistic manuscript
and structures that not only increase and create, but often only revive in found
surfaces with economical comfort.

Antonín Střížek (* 1959) uses realistic painting
to the multi-layered, postmodernly colored commentary of our experience. Yippee
realism, magical and dreamlike, based on the memory of the 20th century.

Tereza Kabůrková (1980) is a graduate photographer and her works are more responsive to
the history of painting and its civilian and romantic traditions. It does not evade simple objects
and still-life or seemingly simple landscape scenes in which it seeks reality and its
modest but firm order.
